Calla came to stay with me as a delayed Christmas present… she didn’t realize she would be living among pigs (literally) and isn’t quite sure what she thinks of this setup anymore. But too late now! It’s winter and a little too cold for a bee to go traveling. 

I put on my bumblebee hat and took some pictures to cheer her up though; naturally nothing brightens her day more than getting some attention. Now we are bumblebuddies. Unfortunately my webcam is as horrible as ever.

But oh well, thank you kind lady on Etsy that had a Combee crochet pattern, you are awesome, although I think I will have to stitch a grouchy face onto grouchy drone at some point; totally didn’t even think to ask her about that until I got this in the mail today.

I was trying to do a speedpaint sort of thing and gave myself a half hour for the BG and then a half hour to do the girls The BG I finished in less than the time allotted, but just vectoring those flat colors took me 30 minutes itself so I failed that challenge. XD Ah well, still good practice and I’ll get this finished up pretty soon here.  Update: Finished version

One day when Calla is a beautiful queen bee, while she’ll mostly still stick to practical garb, she will have a collection of dresses for whenever she feels a need to go be fancy. :B It’s fun to just experiment with Vespiquen dresses.  Calla ages like 10 years the second I put her hair up though.
